Suicidal Thoughts Could Improve with Vitamin B9 Supplements

Study Summary

This study reviewed treatment records of 866,586 adults and revealed that folic acid (Vitamin B9) was associated with a significantly reduced rate of suicidal events. Folic acid may be an inexpensive and widely available suicide prevention tool. (Note: It was found that B12 has no statistically significant association).
